Rusty Powder is a fabulous medium for creating Faux "Rust Effects" in your artwork.
Mix rusty powder with Powertex universal medium or easy structure. Add a dash of vinegar and water to make a grey paste that can be spread with a palette knife. For more texture try mixing in 3D Sand and all Balls.
For Best results spray your artwork with a mix of 50% water and vinegar a few times allowing to dry in between.
Note it takes 24 hours for full effect to occur. Do not disturb the surface as you will remove the rusty layer. Too much vinegar will create a darker colour and lose the beautiful orange and red rust effects.
