Instructional Blogs - Follow Me Down My Rabbit Holes
Hi my name is Natalie Parish. I live in Brisbane with my partner and family of 3 kids. Powertex has enabled me to combine my three degrees in Arts, Science and Education and my love of mixed media into a career where I just love my job.
When I discovered Powertex at the Craft & Quilt Fair in Brisbane, Oct 2012, I was inspired with creative possibilities! As an artist I had been working eclectically with a range of found or 'junk' materials and 'cottage crafts' under the name of Sacred Ibis and By Natalie Jane to create a range of wearable objects and fashion accessories. In particular I enjoy creating themed pieces, such as my Alice in Wonderland series, that were connected to stories and emotions.
The skills I have gained with my Certified Powertex Training combined my scientific background and love of converting landfill, saw many hours experimenting with this amazing powertex range. I was hooked. I have gone on to develop a studio workshop and shop front at my home and love sharing this versatile product in workshops. I am inspired now by the many artists and craft lovers that visit Bag End Studio and use powertex products in a myriad of artistic genres.
As the new distributor for Powertex Australia in QLD in 2015 my aim was to gather a creative force of powertex lovers and trainers so we may share, learn and exhibit our creations and fuel each other's inspiration. Now we have grown to a Gallery Space in Yerongapilly Creative Precinct and do so much more than just workshops. So get in touch!
I love this product and so will you!
