. I am an eclectic mixed media artist that loves including found objects, recycled materials and stories into my artwork, whether it be in sculpture, abstract paintings, jewellery and accessories. Finding Powertex 6 years ago revolutionised my creativity and set me on an artistic journey I never expected. I am the founder of Sacred Ibis (recycled giftware, art and accessories), By Natalie Jane (costume jewellery) and my latest venture as a partner in Nik Nak Productions which produces shows for Brisbane performing artists. My home Art Studio, Bag End is nestled in the Highgate Hill Gully with a small onsite mixed shop and workshop space and I specialise in small bespoke classes. I love Powertex as a high quality and versatile medium and love sharing and growing creativity with a passion. I also make wicked coffee. Come and join a class today.

I am a mixed media artist who hopes to offer inspiration and encouragement to other artisans in my community and abroad. When I discovered Powertex I immediately fell in love with this fantastic medium! Powertex has the flexibility and ease of use that is not usaually found in just one art medium, not to mention the fact, that it offers a fresh opportunity for beginners and experts alike. Art is truly my heart's passion. My dream is to help you to open new doors to discover the artist that lies within you. I know that your imagination is just waiting to be turned into a work of art.

Crafty-U Studio - Wellington PointHello my name is Gaynor Brennan and over the years I have dabbled in a variety of crafts like macramé, tapestry, sewing, knitting and scrapbooking but family and career took over and the time I had for craft work seemed to disappear. I retired 12 months ago from teaching and on a recommendation from one of my staff enrolled in a powertex workshop and became hooked on working with powertex. I have thoroughly enjoyed using the versatility of powertex to create a variety of pieces including statues and mixed media and this has led to me becoming a certified powertex trainer. As a trainer I look forward to introducing others to powertex during workshops and working with them to allow their creativity to be expressed using this versatile medium.

The Artist Tree - Gallery Walk - Mount TamborineFor as long as I can remember, if there is a pen or pencil in my hand I will be doodling or drawing. I have no formal training in art and follow my path of learning through life experience, experimentation and learning from fellow artists. I am on an evolving journey of styles and mediums, mastering techniques and moving on, always searching for something new and inspiring. This led me to discover Powertex which I can use alone for sculptural works, or combine with other media to create paintings in 3D. I love to experiment with my art supplies to see what they can and cannot do, how they interact and discover new techniques. I run Powertex Workshops to small groups, ensuring that you receive the guidance and technical assistance required to create your piece. Once you know the versatility of the Powertex range, we offer less structured sessions and assist while you create your own unique art.
