February is the Quirkiest Month on the calendar so let's unleash our own inner quirky this month. Not difficult to do with Powertex Products as they offer so much versatility to match your quirky creative minds. Here is a small project to get you inner quirk going. We will be doing a quick 50 min version of this project at the Brisbane Stitches and Craft Show  23rd - 26th of March for just $20. Bag End will hold one half day class (a larger version with more time) on Friday the 24th of February $50). Home Kits are also available.

Let's admit it, the only thing quirkier than creative people is their desire to express it. The enormous versatility of Powertex Products enables us to do exactly that. So express yourself this month and bring out the inner quirky. 

Come and do the Quirky Bird Workshop at the Brisbane Stitches and Craft Show at the Brisbane Convention Centre 23rd to the 26th of March.

Rust is simply gorgeous and every piece is unique, which appeals to powertexers. There is something profound about finding beauty in decay. Mixed with vintage sentimentalism the new vibrant colour palettes juxtaposition beautifully against the lush earthy tones of rust. All of which can be achieved using powertex products.

​But let's get started with a simple project.

This small project is a great way to start exploring the wonderful world of powertex rust effects. Many of you will have these materials and powertex products already at home. The rust effects here are based on using the matt powercolours - $9.95 (40ml) including my favourites red & yellow ochre, burnt sienna, mars orange, mocha, raisin and of course turquoise. Don't be afraid of using your fingers as tools.
